July has come and this so called summer has not dampened the spirits of the Clandestine cake club as we celebrate all things summer fruits.
This events secret location was held at Rumseys a chocolaterie and coffee shop where we were lucky to have a section cornered off just for us to celebrate all things cake all washed down with frothy cappuccino's served by attentive and pleasant staff.
Once again the turn out was amazing and once again our club has grown as the success of the Clandestine cake club spreads, lots of fresh faces with scrummy cakes turned up along side the regulars. With so many new faces this means only one thing more and more cakes to sample and talk about
Jo turn up just in time and her cake was worth the wait and this is a special cake her mum used to make a Caribbean fruit cake where her fruit has been soaking for 3 months in rum, brandy and red wine just for this unveiling, Jo's top tip for a deep rich colour use gravy browning.
